Chicago – Roscoe Village

This part of Chicago was once filled by mostly German immigrants in the later 19th century. Of course, the Great Chicago Fire changed everything, and much had to be rebuilt. What emerged are the classic red brick homes and the beautiful store fronts that still exist today. The beautiful riverfront was once home to the Riverview Amusement Park. This was an exciting attraction that was shared with the rest of Chicago. Roscoe Village now is home to many established city families, and has become attractive to the many young Chicago professionals working downtown.

Roscoe Village has tranquil tree laden streets that are a world away from the hectic city. Roscoe Street holds some of the greatest spots in the city to eat dinner or shop. The largest strip of antique shops in the Midwest is on Belmont Avenue. Roscoe Village residents are known for their classical home decorating using the beautifully restored furniture from the many antique stores.

There is no need to find peace in this part of Chicago, when it has already established itself for being calm and relaxing. Roscoe Village, however, is not far at all from the great events going on every day in Chicago. If you are looking for a place to think inside the hustle and bustle of Chicago, there are many perfect real estate locations in Roscoe Village.
